Bahnsen's Basic Training for Defending the Faith, Part I: The Myth of Neutrality

Neutrality is a term use to people who  is not choosing any sides of 2 certain opposing subjects. This are use by individuals which is open to both opinions with an agreeable statement.

The “Bahnsen's Basic Training for Defending the Faith, Part I: The Myth of Neutrality” first talks about Christians, they stated that Christians is an influenced faith while non- Christians are neutral. This is clearly stating that Christianity is being unfair to other religions considering other religions to be bad or unrightous.

The myth of neutrality has a 1st notion by Dr. Bahnsen. There are 2 basic statements First, they are not neutral. Secondly, we should not even try to be neutral. There are humanist, professors and students who set aside notions which dr. Bahnsen stated that humanist are not open-minded, Christ is the source of truth and righteousness, God wants us to be consecrated, Neutrality will rob us of our ability to gain knowledge and wisdom, We should recognize that people opposed to Christian truth, We are not forbidden from studying philosophy, The world looks down on the Gospel and God's system of truth and We should reject so-called "wisdom" and "knowledge" that runs contrary to God's Truth.

For my opinion, I think that neutrality is something that will be helpful to any kind of subjects that are opposing in order to avoid arguments.

Bahnsen's Basic Training for Defending the Faith, Part II: Introduction to Worldviews

Dr. Bahnsen defines a "worldview," as “A network of presuppositions which are not tested by natural science and in terms of which all experience is related and interpreted.” It is considered as a package deal.

Dr. Bahnsen has 3 categories of questions for worldview. 1st, Metaphysics - Study of the origin, structure, and nature of reality. What is real? What is the world like?, Epistemology - The theory of knowledge. How one justifies and accounts for knowledge?, Ethics - The study of good and bad, right and wrong. What is the nature of good and evil?, What is the standard for ethics and ethical evaluation? , How do we evaluate such things as guilt, atonement, and personal peace?, How should the social order and the state function? And How do we attain or produce moral character?  These are considered as a basic statements for worldview.

Bahnsen's Basic Training for Defending the Faith, Part III: Worldviews in Conflict

Dr. Bahnsen defines a "worldview," as “A network of presuppositions which are not tested by natural science and in terms of which all experience is related and interpreted.” It is considered as a package deal. Neutrality is a term use to people who  is not choosing any sides of 2 certain opposing subjects. This are use by individuals which is open to both opinions with an agreeable statement.

Although some worldview had some conflict with subjects which can be very disarranged in their proper process. We must understand the concept of antithesis as we confront hostile and rival claims against our faith. Although unbelievers and believers are often not in agreement, our thoughts should lead us in completely different directions.
